T Formation Running Plays – 44 Blast Free football play
There are many T Formation Running Plays and the T formation Fullback FB 44 Blast is our free football play of the day for this youth football tips, talk, plays and playbook post by Coach Parker. The T formation is similar to the Inverted Wishbone formation hat I run called the Trig in my Power Wing Offense Playbook for youth football.
For today’s free youth football play post, I decided to go to my football library shelves and pull out one of my favorite football coaching books; Championship Football by Coach D. X. Bible, 1947. Coach Bible is a College Football Hall of Fame coach and coached at many Colleges including two from my home state, the University of Texas and Texas A&M.
The T-Formation was invented by Yale’s Walter Camp in the late 1800s and revitalized in the 1930’s and 40’s by Notre Dame, Stanford, Oklahoma, University of Texas, Chicago Bears and many more. Many football gods ran the T Formation.
The Wishbone is a variation of the T Formation. You can also see the Yale Single Wing Beast formation since the 3 backs aligned is an easy to move down by the o-linemen. I guess I love power running plays based on T formation running plays. LOL.
T Formation Running Plays – Free Play
The T Formation Fullback 44 Blast play is a great play for any youth football playbook. This is one of many T Formation running play that is very simple to learn and quick hitting. It is a proven power running play too. Tested over time and ages of football. Here’s the play out of the 1947 book; Championship Football.
You can find more free youth football plays here. Look for 3 new free plays a week as a try to stick to my goal. You can also check out my new eBook on the Wishbone Formation-Selected Youth Football Plays by Coach Parker and stay tuned for the I Formation plays and just maybe a T Formation running plays eBook, and a little passing too.
Thanks again for stopping by today. I’ll try not to post another fullback play tomorrow. Today’s post surprised me that it was also a FB play. Maybe since I was a FB in high school I am biased to those football plays. 🙂 Yesterday’s free youth football play was a PIE 43 Blast. Stay tuned as I post more plays and maybe some more T Formation running plays too.
Maybe since the Wishbone is a variation of the T Formation I will post one of my favorite Wishbone plays next; the QB Power Sweep from the Wishbone. I’ll draw it up as a T Formation running plays too so we can compare the plays. That should be interesting.
I like to see the same play drawn up in several formations and also use that in my playbooks to go multiple. One play many formations, confuses the heck out of youth football defenses. Many times you can keep your offensive line blocking the same or just a slight adjustment.
Do you run this free youth football play or similar, please let me know. Did I choose one of your favorite plays? If not let me know what free play you would like to see next!
Please leave me a comment below or contact me anytime. I love talking youth football and T Formation running plays.
