Last Spring 2015, I coached a KYA Football Senior 6th grade team and had a blast. One of the coaches dropped at the last minute so I agreed to help out and take a team. After a little scrambling to get up to speed, we had a great draft and put together a heck of… Read More
Coach BK sent this video link to me today, and I wanted to share with you too. Thanks Coach! I hope everyone enjoys this video as much as I did watching these great players and coaches talk not X’s and O’s but about Coaching’s personal relationships and how coaches assist the maturation of many young… Read More
Dan and Tank Chalk Talk Update This year I finally took our game, highlight, scout, scrimmage, practice videos to the web to use it real time as a coaching tool. For the last several years, we sent clips around via DVDs or loaded a clip here and there on Flickr or YouTube. But this year,… Read More

I just watched this single wing offense tutorial video and it is awesome. I was going to post next week in my regular youth offense column but it is too good not to share now. You must watch this. Enjoy the video. Good Luck this season.
This is a great video from Tennessee’s Coach Fulmer describing and demonstrating several blocks used by the offensive line. I especially like the down block and the reverse block or crab block. We use the crab block quite a bit in our youth football blocking scheme to fill holes, especially in the A Gaps. Enjoy… Read More
Here are a few running back drills from Nike GridIron, that we use in our pee wee football practice. I especially like the ball security / transition drills and one hand to the ground drill. Enjoy the video. Good luck this season.
I found these drills on You Tube last season and have been using them with my youth football quaterbacks. They are from the Nike Gridiron series. I really like the opposite hip throw drill, the last drill on the video. This drill is great for teaching young players that the ball is really thrown with the… Read More
