Beast Wide Left Gut Counter Youth Football Counter Play

Here is one of the Beast Offense counter plays to the Beast Tank play, the Beast Wide Left Gut Counter or Worm “Corky”. The Beast blocking backs group moves out just wide of the Tight End and the interior back runs a counter to the opposite Center Guard hole. We usually make sure our FB is the interior running back on this play. This is a misdirection great play when the defense makes a huge over shift and leaves a pretty big gap over the opposite guard. Watch the beast offense counter play; Worm Corky video below.
Beast Offense Counter Plays
Beast Wide or Worm Corky Counter Play
The Worm Corky; wide Beast counter play needs to be set up; setting up counter plays. This FB Gut Counter works about 50% of the time for 3 or more yards, but I had a half back two seasons in Arvada, CO that ran this play well and had a 75% success rate. He was very shifty. I prefer to run the play out of Beast Wide or Worm rather than just Beast Tight, but you can do either and also out of Beast Jumbo or Beast Trips Spread which is just a wide trips Wildcat type formation.
Beast Tight or Beast Corky Counter Play
Below is the Beast Tight under Center Corky counter play. Beast Tight can be run under center sometimes referred to BUC or in Shotgun. I prefer to run Beast Tight formation under center and Worm in Shotgun. Both plays are great against an over shifted Defense trying to stop the Beast Tank play.
Let me know what you think of one of my favorite Beast offense counter plays, the Beast Wide Gut Counter or Worm Corky Counter for your youth football team.
