Who is Coach Parker?
Coach Parker is one of the original developers of youth football’s modern Beast Offense formation variations and has coached over 30 tackle football seasons since 1994 — with 90% of that experience in Texas, the heart of youth football. With a nearly 70% win rate, 90% playoff appearance rate, and 50% championship game appearance rate, his results speak for themselves. He’s the author of the Power Wing Beast Offense, Pirate 6‑2 Defense, Gun‑T Multi Wing, and other top-selling playbooks trusted by coaches nationwide. A Texas native and nationally recognized blogger at CoachParker.org, he’s been a leading voice in youth football since 2008.
Coach Parker is an OG Beast Coach, coaching youth football since 1994. That same year, he was honored as part of the Plano Sports Authority Football Coaching Staff of the Year.
A true Texas native, Coach Parker grew up living, breathing, and playing football — Go Cowboys! He started playing in 3rd grade and continued through high school, where he lined up at nearly every major position: center, guard, tackle, fullback, defensive tackle, defensive end, outside linebacker, and middle linebacker. In college and as a young adult, he played five years of adult flag football, adding quarterback and tight end to his experience, and even spent a season playing rugby.
He played high school football under Coach Ron Schroeder, one of the most respected and winningest coaches in Texas football history. Beyond the field, Coach Parker has read close to 300 football coaching books, fueling a lifelong passion for teaching, strategy, and player development.
In addition to football, he competed in Racquetball and Handball for the Texas A&M club teams, and is a certified racquetball instructor. Coach Parker is a graduate of Texas A&M with a BBA in Finance 1986.
