There are so many great Offset I Formation Plays like my Angl Pro 24 ISO free youth football play highlighted in today’s free football play posting. Today’s play is a off-set I play that I’ve run since I played youth football back in early 1970’s, the lead iso play on the linebacker. The Fullback will block the inside linebacker and the tailback will cut off the FB’s block to open green and hopefully 6 points. This youth football play will definitely be in my Off-Set I Formation Selected Youth Football Plays ebook out in a few months.
The Off-set I Formation is my favorite two back I formation variation. I am also partial to the 3 back I version the Power I. I call my version of the Off-set I; “Angl.” I like getting the FB over a tad more to help with sweep blocking plus you can use some wing-t plays going the opposition direction out of the off-set I formation. I have so many favorite Offset I formation plays and here is my choice for todays free youth football play that works….
Offset I Formation Plays
Since I started the Free Youth Football Plays blog series, I also like to highlight a football coaching book in my library. This week it is Dee Hawkes, Football’s Best Offensive Playbook. I’ve had this book since 1995 and love it. I use this book every season to look over plays that I might need a refresher on and see how other coaches might have used the football play. This week’s free play was in this book. See it below.
It looks like Gary Gibbs from the University of Oklahoma uses this Offset I Formation Plays; Angl Pro 24 ISO Free Youth Football Play or what he calls Left Pro ISO Right. Nice write up in the book. Take a look below.
Tons of cool plays in this best football playbook of plays It features over 100 great football plays. These are some of the top football plays from the past and from some of the top coaches in the past. I am sure some younger coaches might call the book dated but for youth coaches it is a great coaching reference book.
There are running plays which include inside plays, off-tackle plays and outside plays. Of course Offset I formation plays. There are passing plays which include play action passes and dropback passes.
The last section of plays has special plays which includes reverses, throwbacks, PATs, and Trick plays. The book has a good section on symbols and terminology. So if you want to learn to draw up plays this is also a good reference. I learned to draw up plays from this book along with the off-set I formation plays coming soon in my plays ebook.
Do you run this offset i formation plays 24 iso free youth football play from the off-set i formation plays or similar, please let me know. Did I choose one of your favorite plays? If not let me know what free play you would like to see next!
