We just call it the "Rowdy" formation. I have been running it for 3 years now with multiple plays out of it- reverses, passes, ect. Simple and can let several kids take the snap and run the ball.

I am the Head coach of a 5-6 freshmen football team in Alabama. I have coached JV ball for a School where we won it all. I have coached a 9-10 yr. old team back in 1999. With them I could get them to understand great plays and win. This yr. we are in second so far with playoff Gm tomarrow. If we win we go to the CHAMPIONSHIP game. I do have a great off. mind, but with kids of 5-6 I can't seem to find a couple of big play plays (Trick plays) that is very productive and simple for the kids. I have a super fast QB and a real fast back. The team we will face is 8-1 and we are 7-2. I know we can win but may need a big play are 2. Any u recall from young teams.

Its pretty close to a zone path for zone blocking in spirit isnt it? Everyone just drop steps and blocks left or right? I am sure you end up with the double teams that you normally get with zone blocking....the only thing you are missing is guys scraping off and heading for linebackers.

I guess the three backs kinda throw things off. I bet the kids love to run it though....
